Just like Saturday's Art Spa.....it's the 2nd Friday in the month.

Are you a Mom who wants to have some creative time on Friday...start earlier if you would like and end earlier...what about 9-3 instead of 10:45-5...you decide...

be home before your child gets off the bus...

The Art Spa is open on the 2nd Friday, from 9:00-3:00 (or start 10:45 and create until 5:00) and Saturday of the month, from 10:45am to 5:00pm.  The cost is $65 which includes materials used for the day and lunch. You are welcomed by me, artist, Jeanne Stortz and have either a cup of tea or coffee to start your day.  Wander about the studio and get your creative juices flowing. You then gather with the other participants at the beginning of the session and talk a bit about yourself and your interests. Then plan out your day, determine the mediums you would like to work with..paint, draw, mixed media, altered books, block print, and more. If you wish to bring some photos to use in your creations, bring multiple copies or you can work with your originals.  After the check-in, spend time creating.  A delicious lunch will be prepared for you while you are creating. Lunch can include quiche or egg salad with fresh eggs from our colorful farm chickens, a soup, a salad with fresh greens, a sweet (a sweet-tart rhubarb custard pie was the choice at the open studio in May)  After lunch more time creating.  Depending on the project you choose you may decide to work in another medium if time permits.  You will create until 4:45 and then clean-up and say your goodbyes. The restful, creative day will continue to wash over you days after your visit.  Remember to put these dates in your calendar...your creative days at the studio are the 2nd Friday and Saturday of the month.  This is a creative day for you!

From the western suburbs, go west on 394. 394 turns into highway 12 just past Wayzata.  Go to Delano at the 3rd stop light take a left onto highway 30. Go 5 miles and take a right onto 82nd St .  Go 1 mile and take a left under the willow tree.(Our farm has 3 silos) Drive to the back of the red metal building, park and go to deck and walk in large glass door. 345 82nd St SW, Montrose, MN   55363, 763-972-2626, jeanstortz@gmail.com
